HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic Acid is one of the fundamental
components of the connective tissues in humans
and other mammals. It gives the skin its
properties of resistance and its abilities to maintain
its shape. In fact a deficiency of hyaluronic acid
causes a weakening of the skin, resulting in the
formation of wrinkles and imperfections.
Its concentration in the tissues tends to decrease
with age due to the presence of a particular enzyme,
hyaluronidases, which catalyzes hyaluronic acid
chain degradation.
CROSS-LINKED HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is used in cosmetics for its
capacity of complexing a very high number of water
molecules. The linear hyaluronic acid, applied on
the skin or injected (in the case of fillers), as well
as the one which is naturally present in the dermis,
is degraded by hyaluronidases in a short period.
To slow down the physiological process, the HA
is chemically modified by cross-linking agents.
The structure becomes crosslinked and
three-dimensional rather than linear, forming
much more stable molecular cages mostly capable
to defend against the attack of hyaluronidases.
The higher the degree of crosslinking, the slower
is the degradation of hyaluronic acid.
CROSS-LINKED HYALURONIC ACID
IN THE COSMETIC MEDICINE
The cross-linked hyaluronic acid once injected
allows to fill the intradermal spaces and to
integrate the intercellular matrix, giving firmness
to the tissues and making the filling more stable
and durable over time.
The new Be Filler INTRADERMIC is based on an innovative technology – Esteri Fyl Technology – which develops sequentially:
• Optimal cross-linking of hyaluronic acid, with a process which avoids any risk of free residues.
• Homogenisation which divides the cross-linked block into uniform and standardized particles, depending on the three different variants (FINE – MEDIUM – PLUS). This way it is improved the volumising effect.
This special technology guarantees an absolute purity after cross-linking, improving the density and elasticity of the crosslinked hyaluronic acid, which remains void of free residues.
The high degree of purity significantly increases both the safety and the performance.
